Sixers lose despite Iverson's 46 points

The Philadelphia 76ers' weak defense spoiled another amazing performance of Allen Iverson. Mehmet Okur made 25 points and Andrei Kirilenko 23, helping the Utah Jazz overcome Iverson's 46 points in a 110-102 win on Wednesday night.

Milt Palacio also scored 17 points, Gordan Giricek 16 and Okur added eight assists and eight rebounds for Utah. This way they won their third straight on the road. The Jazz, atop the Northwest Division, have won eight of nine to improve to two games above .500 for the first time since starting 4-2.

"We made whatever we wanted in the attack," Palacio said. "We ran our offense and knew that they were not the greatest defensive team. We tried to take advantage of that."

It's important to notice that the Jazz shot 74.1 percent (20-for-27) in the second half, getting many easy baskets on uncontested layups. The 76ers have the NBA's second-highest scoring offense but second-worst defense.
